How to hard reset Samsung Galaxy S4 (IV) I9500 I9505 SGH-I337

Samsung Galaxy S4 is an amazing smart phone, no doubt the best we can have now. But bad things happen and you might need to reset your phone. Read on for details on how to reset your Samsung Galaxy S4 (IV) using different possible methods.

Method 1 - Using Phone Settings

Goto Settings >> Accounts TAB >> Backup and Reset >> Factory Data Reset

Method 2- Hard reset Galaxy S4 using Android Recovery mode

Switch off your Phone completely

Press VOL Up + Menu + Power button (ALL Together)

Leave the power button when you see Samsung logo

You will see Recovery mode at the left top corner, Now you can leave all keys

You have to use Volume button to navigate up and down and power button to "OK"

Follow the video now to hard reset Galaxy S4.

    Master Reset:
    1. Touch Home Key > Settings > Privacy.
    2. Touch Factory data reset.
    3. Touch Reset phone. Check Erase SD card if you want to erase the memory card.
    4. Touch Erase everything.

    Hard Reset:
    1. Turn Phone off
    2. Press and hold Volume up button then Press and hold Power button till a menu will come out "Android system recovery"
    4. Use the Volume button to scroll up and down and use the Camera button to select (click on).
    5. Scroll down to "Wipe data/factory reset" and click on it.
    6. Scroll down to "Yes -- delete all user data" and click on it.
    7. After "Data wipe complete" click on "reboot system now"

    FTM mode:
    1. Turn Phone off
    2. Press and hold Volume down button then Press and hold Power button till a screen will come out and say "FTM"

    Power Cycle:

    1. Take out the back cover (Do not remove the battery)
    2. There is a small button right above the camera lens.
    3. Push the button, and that will power cycle your device without removing the battery.
