I have Galaxy Ace (2.3.3) and now CM 7.2 has made it look so so so awesome!
I have noticed the background Apps get auto closed to save memory.
Much Better Battery performance.
Phone is faster.
The visuals are super! (Trust me I love to install themes and this mod has made it look amazing) I love the glow effects!
Camera is a whole lot better.
I will test further and re-post again if needed.

ReplyDeleteI tried installing first "CWN ClockworkMod on Galaxy Ace S5830" CW on galaxy pro upgraded with 2.3.6 before trying CW7.2. and by god's grace nothing went wrong but it did not even get installed also, because now whenever m trying to enter to recovery mode it shows white-greyish screen. apart frm recovery mode, everything is working fine.. well for that i think i need to flash with custom rom again or stock rom.. anyways, it wuld be of great help if u can try to find a way out fro CWM installation in galaxy pro

This rom it's pretty good, i've tried it for a week now and i haven't got any issues. It is fast, light, i've got more internal memory and ram, Wifi works great and gps the usual. I'm gonna give you guys a tip, do not use the adw launcher that comes with the build just download go launcher ex and android pro widgets for a good experience. Now comes the bad... the only thing that i saw was the proximity sensor, When i make calls my phone doesn't turn off, look i don't really mind this because it turns off by itself after 5 seconds. In general this is a pretty awesome rom just follow the instructions and you should not have any problems. (this experience was from an "ACE" from Telcel-Mexico...

DeleteWas initially worried due to previous bad experiences with custom firmware; but went impressively smooth! only took a few minutes to install clockwork and CM; First boot took approx one minute; then Android Market synchronized and downloaded all of my apps! Just copied over my media and I was back to normal! Mod is absolutely brilliant! Everything is smooth and much much more responsive than the stock firmware. ONLY issue was failure to recognize my carrier - had to manually select service - and provider appears only as a number (30xxxx) Still, works beautifully! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI installed CM for two reasons: 1) Couldn't install adobe flash and 2) Netflix video streaming was slow and always completely out of sync. With CM, was able to find an Arm6 version of Adobe Flash (Thanks google) - /and/ Netflix is streaming perfectly. I couldn't be happier.

hello dialandroid i download the CyanogenMod 7.1 from gingerbread 2.3.6 theres not problem with the phone but its recomanded to update from 2.3.3 is this going to cause problem later and my phone is not being detected by odin if you have any suggestion i would like to know .thank you

i have installed it one time only and it works perfectly. But there is small problem with me camera i cannot zoom in and out when taking pictures, is there a way to correct this?
