Install ICS Android 4.0 on Galaxy Ace S5830 : The Myth Custom ROM (With Video Guide)

Samsung Ace is a mid segment smartphone with bundle of features. Recently Samsung has announced ICS upgrade schedule for various Galaxy series phones. Unfortunately Galaxy Ace S5830 is not among those. So if you own Galaxy Ace and want official firmware then its not going to happen. But thanks to developers you can still enjoy Ice cream sandwich on ACE S5830 using custom ROMs. Today we are going to discuss about the Myth Ace ROM which looks like Ice cream sandwich and works pretty fast on Galaxy Ace. We have included a video guide also to help you installing The Myth Ace ICS ROM on your Galaxy Ace S5830.

  17. I encountered few bumps. Internet browser force closes within 10 minutes of usage. Is there a fix on this? It happened to me 4 times since I installed Myth last night.

  18. @Nats : I did not encounter any problems with the browser....but i always use Dolphin HD browser rather than the stock..jus download any browser from the market & check if the problem persists.

  63. if u hav 2.3.5 its fine u can jus install cwm (link given above)and then go into cwn recovery & install ics myth rom.jus follow the procedure given...this is a great looking rom much better looking & faster than stock gingerbread....might hav few bugs cos its jus a beta rom... & by d way if u don like d phone jus buy a new 1 instead of trying to put a new rom & wasting urs n others time !!!

  91. Cyanogen mod 7.2 is so buggy. Display becomes unresponsive at times, there is no way to store contacts on your sim card, and the whole phone slows down with simple things like unlocking the screen.

  116. camera,fm and bluetooth are all working for galaxy ace. only thing that im having probs with is i can confirm that this ics is rebooting every 5 min. but when i put screen to go off in 30 min it dose it again in 30 min since i put off my wifi it hasent done it since dont know if that is the brob tho. personally i think its the screen timer but im no pro

    well its working fine on my mobile installed as shown on youtube...some problems you need to work upon
    1) definitely some connectivity issues with network....
    2) what the hell....it intermittently shows message memory full > incoming messages rejected ...please delete messages....i deleted all the messages and still..message memory full...???...reboot the phone and again still the same problem....
    3) definitely some contact manager problem....not showing all contacts/ synchronising problem..?
    4)contact manager does not show contact images of all contacts (i have synchronised my gmail/ google/ facebook to android)? and there is a very small blue line below the image in each contact ....whats its for and how to use ?

  137. I've had this for a month no problems it fixed a continuous reboot problem I had before on 2.3.5 and I get 1550 on quadrant standard with cpu tuner, cant seem to use the standard mail but gmail is fine and my mail.com app covers everything else, thanks for this, awesome.
